The IVA-W505 is a versatile AV head unit that provides complete media center capabilities through effortless touch-screen control over all your in-vehicle digital media sources. It's the full-featured 2DIN solution you've been waiting for – with full USB support for iPod, including iPod Video playback and a built-in DVD/CD/MP3/AAC/WMA/DivX player. It features a new customizable graphical interface, as well as full Bluetooth® connectivity for both hands-free and streaming audio. Don't forget about navigation either. This unit also offers an in-dash docking station for the Alpine PMD-B200, so you can simply put your Blackbird portable nav right inside of the IVA-W505 and enjoy the larger 7" screen for a true fixed nav experience. The IVA-W505 features Visual Enhancement, a new technology that provides a more balanced picture, not over-emphasizing dark or light areas, so movies are seen with greater clarity. All of the graphics are crisp, clean, and modern for your viewing pleasure. Of course the IVA-W505 also features a S-Video input so you can take advantage of the amazing screen quality when you connect any high quality video sources.

Choose from two new display modes, selectable via the "Style" button. Go with basic mode for all your song info and a large view of album artwork or switch to Pro mode for additional information such as the next five songs to be played. With iPersonalize you can choose from a wide selection of background graphics, free for download.

Connect your iPod* to the IVA-W505 via a dedicated USB input, for the best sound and quickest access to your iPod. You can even see complete Album Art right on the screen, so why bother with individual CD's when you can easily browse through your entire music collection on your iPod? Alpine's USB Connection for iPod lets you enjoy all your favorite iPod tracks on the road. View Playlist, artist, album, song, podcast, genre and composer search right on the screen of your head unit. There's no need for bulky interface boxes, just the USB cable (included) that connects your iPod directly to your Alpine. Forget FM transmitters and forget static, hollow sound. Full Speed Connection also supports Apple lossless playback. With Alpine, you can take your iPod on the road and sound good while you're doing it. You can even enjoy the music on your Apple iPhone (Read more on iPhone usage) using the Full Speed Connection. The IVA-W505 offers both Full Speed connection and USB connection options, so you can even connect to two iPods at the same time. The IVA-W505 is also compatible with the Apple iPhone via Full Speed (Read more on iPhone usage), allowing you to seamlessly control your iPod music (KCE-422i cable required).

Your PMD-B200 Portable Nav can now be docked directly inside the IVA-W505 Double DIN AV head unit, turning your dash into a convenient and larger 7" touch screen control center. Once tucked inside, you've created a completely integrated Audio/Video/Navigation system, with all the flexibility of a portable! You even get access to the Blackbird's built-in Bluetooth, right from your Touch Screen.
